There is an organization called US Patriot Services (http://uspatriotservices.com/ ) that has been going around door to door selling caskets and urns to older veterans at almost 4 times the cost at local funeral homes.  They come in with colorful brochures and literature stating that the veteran is purchasing their services when all they are getting is overpriced merchandise.  This is the second time I have heard about this organization doing this in Washington County. One of my funeral homes reported it to me today and she is reporting them to the MN Dept of Health - Mortuary Science, MN Funeral Directors, National Funeral Directors and the Order of the Golden Rule. She is also reporting this to the Atty General.

Please make sure the veterans in your counties are aware of this scam.
